Here at WinCustomize, nothing ever changes. It's one lie after another. It's censorship, based on ideology. Where as it's alright for a moderator to call a user a "twat", it's completely unacceptable for a user to make any reference to the same. In fact, even a reference..to the reference is out of bounds.

But such is the way at WinCustomize.

So now, I have to wait for a rather long time for WC to load. My ratings have NEVER made a difference. I've been treated like a virus from the time I asked my first quetion...and, I've been censored over, and over again.

But, I keep coming back. Why? Because I can be a real dickhead when I want to be.

So, how many minutes should a WC subscriber have to wait to access the site? How many times should a customer have to ask for an ongoing mockery to be removed?

Do yourselves a favor...fellow surfers. Go clean the toilets at WalMart. It will take far less time than creating ANY skin...and it will be more appreciated.

Don't waste your money here. WinCustomize cares about one thing still. $$$$$$$$$ If you give it to them? You'll get exactly the same thing you're getting now (as a non-subcriber/customer). If you're happy with forking over the bucks for no good reasons...don't blame me later.

Subscriber Ratings

I have NEVER submitted a rating on this site and had it make ANY difference one way or another. I've submitted ratings on skins that have 0 downloads & no comments. Nothing. 100 downloads? Nothing. It doesn't matter. Why is this?

Now I'm sure that someone is going to tell me that I'm not very smart, a "right wing" conspiracy theorist, or whatever. But when I click on the stars to rate a submission and it say's "Rating Saved", I figure I did it right. So...is there a lengthy waiting period? I've checked back in a couple of hours and, it's the same thing. My ratings are excluded.

Even worse, (besides the wonderful treatment that I've always recieved here, is that WinCustomize has slowed more and more lately.

If a person is a customer of Stardock, (O.D., Cursor XP Plus), AND...a subscriber of WinCustomize...doesn't that count for ANYTHING here? I seem to remember a promise of bandwidth priority for those who ponied up the $$ for a WC subscription. I'm not seeing it. Not at all. And I DON'T want to use the WC browser. I don't like it. I don't have to. If it's a matter of my using the "old" site vs. the "new" one....I would like to know.

I'm not even going to check back on this post. I've learned what I will get. But what I say is going on?Gospel, so fix it. I've payed for services I'm not recieving. I'm not going to bother to argue anything past this point. I will just continue to ask for it to be fixed. No threats. No non-sense. Just customer requests for assistance. Should it get fixed? I will not thank you. I don't have to thank you for services I have paid for...I'm not going to.

A Nifty Santa Claus Game

This is a really nice game. The graphics are stunning for a freeware game.
You control Santa as he travels around collecting presents. But he gets in a bit of trouble.

No, this isn't a political rant...or anything even close. This is a program I just found that allows you to not only watch, but download video content from the web. Some uses are Podcasts, You Tube, Google Video etc.

This program is just under 20 MB's to download, but it's really worth it. You can watch one video...while downloading a bunch more. Set up your own "channels" and set it to download programs as they become available. Democracy saves the video to your hard drive(s). It is set up to automatically delete any video file older than 5 days, but you can also permanently keep any videos you choose.

This is really a great set-up...and way overdue. No more watching as your media player tells you it's buffering over and over again. Download the whole thing and watch it uninterrupted!
There are more channels than I could mention in a week, so I just suggest you download it and look around.

Nice - Free - Program to Record Media

Record everything that goes through your soundcard

This program, (Audio Recorder for Free), is a neat little program that's extremely easy to use.
It can assist you in digitizing your records and tapes etc., which is nice, but it captures EVERYTHING that your soundcard gets. What this means is you can record streaming audio off of the web. (Pandora, internet radio, etc.) It works really well and has a number of built in features that compliment it nicely.

It's virus & spyware free. It will put an icon on your desktop to try and get you to try out their audio editor, (which is not free). The editor is little more than Audacity (which IS free), so using this with Audacity is probably the way to go. (At least the cheapest).

I use this program all of the time and it works really well.
(One hint....keeping the gain at 50% or a little less, along with your system volume at 50% or so, seems to work the best for recording.)(Disabling your EQ is a good idea as well)

I didn't know what category to put this under. Humor kind of fits. I think there should be a "Gag me" category for stories like this one though. Anyways, here it is. It's real enough-alright. I actually heard one of these on the local news.

I suppose I should be thanking my lucky stars. I downloaded Vista and was able to run "Ultimate" without many problems at all. I had to do 0 (yes zero) driver updates and, short of a lack of compatibility with MSN Premium (go figure), everything worked great.

But I assume that MS is counting on the third parties to sell this. There is little, if anything, that I cannot do already. From security to eye-candy, it's soooooo yesterday (as my daughter might say)

I watched the video that Brad put out. It showed me a couple of things that I didn't know. (I would expect this as he very well should know more than I). But I haven't seen any reason to upgrade. The hardware expectations are extreme for the average home user. Frankly, I would council them to spend $50 on OD and get some free programs I know of.....they would be set for the most part.

If the Vista Basic is "Crap" as was said in the video, why bother? At the prices they are talking about? I can't justify that kind of money to anyone. What would I say?

I like the new security features...but I can easily accomplish the same with the programs I already own...(many free)... and a little common sense.

Microsoft has done a fantastic job of getting rid of many of the problems of Vista. But at what cost? There is really nothing new or special here for me. I haven't seen the possibilities...granted. But this is going to fall flat on it's face if they are counting on the general public to be visionary.

I remain amazed at how well it installed and ran. But disappointed at the outcome. I disconnected my hdd in less than 24 hours and went back to enjoying XP. (Which friggin' flew with this setup)

Without big changes...added features...OR SOMETHING, I wouldn't bother to chalk up the hefty amount they want. No way.
